Donald Trump won the 2016 election because the people were fed up. Though he pushes some fundamental policies that I agree with, he is an opportunist removed from principle. Trump claimed he would “drain the swamp” upon entering office, but has filled Washington D.C. with enemies of the United States who oppose the Republic and promote the Empire.
President Trump has packed his administration with neoconservatives like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. Such lunatics are no different than Hillary Clinton concerning international relations and war—and only educated Americans who actually read and use their mind will comprehend this statement. Hillary Clinton was a neocon by all stretches of the term. She was pro-war, a SecDef who helped invade Libya and overthrow Gaddafi, and a heartless lier who showed apathy toward the Benghazi terrorism killing of Ambassador Chris Stevens. Though Trump claimed on his campaign trail he would recommend a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton’s alleged deletion of 33,000 emails and misuse of classified data—an aggregious crime that would instantly send you or I to jail—upon his election results of November 8th he made comments implying that Mrs. Clinton’s scandal should be put to rest.
Thus, Donald Trump appointed pro-keynesian Federal Reserve chairmen Jerome Powell. A very STUPID choice indeed.
In an interview on FOX Business’ “After the Bell,” former Reagan Budget Director David Stockman called the nomination of Powell as Fed Chair a “horrible choice.”
“He’s Janet Yellen with a tie. He’s a crony capitalist Keynesian who thinks you should run the economy from the twelve people sitting on the Federal Open Market Committee,” he said.Source: FOX Business
Furthermore, Trump appointed CIA torturer Gina Haspel as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency to replace Mike Pompeo who was appointed to Secretary of State.
Putting Haspel in charge of the CIA would undo attempts by the agency — and the nation — to repudiate torture. The message this sends to the CIA workforce is simple: Engage in war crimes, in crimes against humanity, and you’ll get promoted. Don’t worry about the law. Don’t worry about ethics. Don’t worry about morality or the fact that torture doesn’t even work. Go ahead and do it anyway. We’ll cover for you. And you can destroy the evidence, too.Source: John Kiriakou writing for The Washington Post
John Kiriakou is a former CIA counterterrorism officer and senior investigator with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He went to prison for disclosing the CIA’s secret torcher program which President George W. Bush denied ever existed—another LIER.
In December 2007 Kiriakou gave an interview with ABC News stating that the CIA was torturing its prisoners, that the torture program was official U.S. government policy, and that this practice was personally approved by President Bush. The FBI then started investigating him immediately. Mr. Kiriakou was eventually charged with five felonies including three counts of espionage. The charges were eventually dropped, but only upon his agreeing to plea guilty for a lesser charge (such is how the system works). He served 23 months in federal prison.
Donald Trump is Not a Constitutionalist of American Heritage
Trump even called for for the imprisonment of dissidents who burn the U.S. flag—an unAmerican sentiment against the right of free speech and private property under the First Amendment. If it’s your flag that you purchased or received, it’s your private property. I’m tired of linking patriotism to iconic symbols as if they are religious sacraments. Anyone who supports prosecuting someone for burning their own flag is distant from our founding ideologies.
Thus President Trump’s foreign trade policies are a disaster. His “deals” with China and others are turning his capitalist agenda into a fascist enterprise. There is nothing libertarian or freedom promoting about sanctioning other nations through tariffs to punish their behaviors. Only free market capitalism (laissez-faireeconomics) in which transactions between private companies are unaffected by government is the road to prosperity.
However, Trump thinks his business deals will work in government the same way they might in the private sector. This is not true, a mistake many business people make who come into public office thinking they can run the state like a corporate enterprise. Such individuals lack the true understanding of the role of government, which is to protect liberty. In a free society such as the United States Republic, the state should be limited and weak because the People DEMAND it.
The Constitution and Bill of Rights were created to constrain the government and reserve the primary disposal of power with the people. This comes as a result of the American War for Independence in which the English settlers of the Thirteen Colonies got sick and tired of their own government in England, the British Crown and Parliament, treating them like second-class subjects or ‘slaves.’ When the state does its thinking for you—as if you are unintelligent enough to not now what is best—it is time for a revolution. Though Trump has some intent to “Make America Great Again” by limiting government regulation of business, protecting life in the womb, and the Second Amendment, his foreign policy is ABHORRENT.
His trade deals are monstrosities that will only reap bad percussions on American business overtime. Thus Trump has a rather unhealthy overinflated ego, and a cabinet firing record that makes reasonable people decline their application for hire. Who would ever work for this man (considering his history on the TV show The Apprentice), and think they will escape his rather dejected days of not feeling above the weather. His bad habit of eating fast food (a disgusting toxic poison) will surely catch up with him sometime. Trump is obese, and his immature character signals that of a man with internal psychological problems.
